Health Service
A primary healthcare facility is provided by the institution for the benefit of students of JSS AHER. This healthcare facility is equipped with basic health check-up instruments along with one full-time doctor, staff nurse, and other supporting staff. In addition to this, a pharmacy dispensary has also been attached to provide the required medicines on time for the students.
Student Accommodation
Girls Hostel
School of Life Sciences, Mysuru, JSSAHER facilitates a separate hostel for girls with furnished rooms and study tables. Students are provided with hygienic food and a potable water source for drinking. The hostel is under CCTV surveillance with 24X7 security services.
Bank
A branch of State Bank of India shares its banking services with 24 x 7 ATM counter for easy access to the students.
Bicycle Point
Bicycles have been introduced for the convenience of students and faculty at different points which has considerably reduced the usage of motor vehicles. The initiative goes in line with creating a green campus, reducing the carbon output.

The cafeteria provides all kinds of north Indian and south Indian dishes with snacks and chats.

Both the post office (sub-branch) and the telegraph offices are on the campus for easy access for students and staff.
Security
Round the clock security guards (Male & Female for respective hostels) as well as CCTV cameras are placed for continuous monitoring and vigilance for the safety of students.

About NSS Unit
National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth-oriented voluntary organization in India that aims to develop the personality and character of students while encouraging them to actively contribute to society through community service. NSS has been instrumental in fostering a sense of social responsibility and national integration among young individuals.

Achievements
- Successful Special Annual Village Camps: NSS has organized four highly successful special annual village camps, where volunteers immerse themselves in rural communities to understand their challenges and actively participate in various developmental activities. These camps play a crucial role in promoting rural development, educating the villagers about health and hygiene, and providing assistance in infrastructural improvements.
- Organizing Committee of National Integration Camps: NSS has been actively involved in the organizing committee of three National Integration Camps. These camps serve as a platform to bring together students from diverse backgrounds and regions of the country, fostering cultural exchange, and promoting national unity and integration.
- Swach Bharath Summer Internship Programs: The two Swach Bharath Summer Internship programs organized by NSS have been instrumental in driving the cleanliness and sanitation initiatives in different areas. These internships provide students with an opportunity to work towards the Swachh Bharat (Clean India) mission, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.
- Representation at State Republic Day Parade: One NSS volunteer represented JSS AHER (JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research) at the prestigious State Republic Day Parade in 2019. This recognition reflects the dedication and commitment of NSS volunteers towards national pride and service.
- Youth Indian Delegation to China: Two NSS volunteers had the honor of representing India at the Youth Indian Delegation to China. This opportunity provided them with a platform to interact with youth from another nation, share experiences, and collaborate on various social initiatives.
